Kim is actually an old friend from our small rural hometown in New Jersey. This was the first wedding I got to design and attend as a guest and it was extra special to be a part of it all day, and to see how well the arbor held up overnight. She has an awesome fearless/rock and roll sense of style and a love for vintage. I knew she would be down for all sorts of ideas to complement the summer camp/outdoorsy theme like turkey feathers (to go with their feather boutonnieres designed by another artist friend) birdhouse gourds for decor on railings and the arbor and an edgy deep color-filled palette with dried elements and elegant jewel-toned blooms. This was 100% locally grown fall beauty right at the grand finale of dahlia season and it's one for the books.
